i wish i was one of those guys who could just do cheesecake. Seriously, it’s nerve-wracking. i feel like i’m performing goddamn surgery or something.
This is some serious Werner Herzog/ David Lynch level shit. I will see this every time i close my eyes for the rest of my life.
I’m not saying this is necessarily the best panel i’ve drawn recently, but it’s one of the most fun.

Betty Boop gets a bad rap these days. As a kid, the Grampy episodes were always my favorite ones. He was the prototypical maker/lifehacker! This was the first rendition of Tiger Rag i ever heard, and to me, it remains the definitive. Also, we get a little of Fleischer’s signature turntable model backgrounds, which i think look great.
Seriously. Jill is the best. Just look at that!
